Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see sporting grounds with fresh attention: a specific architectural feature, a matchday custom, a venue’s changing form or an overlooked part of the spectator experience.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise proposal with a working title, the central question, the angle that makes it distinct and a short note on how you would establish the relevant facts. Strong pitches have a clear subject, offer context a general reader can follow and avoid relying on unsupported claims or access we cannot assume.
Subjects we welcome
Ideas may explore how a venue is arranged, how spectators use a shared space, how matchday routines develop or how a ground’s history can be understood through its visible details. We are less suited to match reports, promotional copy, predictions or pieces that depend on unverified first-hand claims.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include your pitch in the message; an unsolicited proposal is not a promise of publication. Please do not send a completed article unless it has been requested.
